Services and Ministries

Sunday Services:

Traditional Worship Service. Join us as we celebrate Jesus, learn about God’s story and share the journey of faith and discipleship together. Kids crafts available on the first and third Sunday of the month.
Every Sunday at 10.30am

Wanderers Community Gathering. For the weary, the searching and those longing for something new. Wanderers is a restful, inclusive and kid-friendly space to explore faith and share life in open, creative ways.
Fortnightly Sundays from 4pm

Community engagement

Food Co-op. We’re collaborating with our local community to provide access to cheap fruit and veggies from the Dandenong Market. Come down to the church hall for a cuppa, hang out with some fellow Murrumbeena locals and stock up on some fresh groceries.
First and third weekends of the month
Saturday 10am – 12 noon
Sunday 12 noon – 1pm

Sew Inspired Patchworkers (SIPS). SIPS is our friendly community of patchworkers and quilters. Bring your own projects to work on and a gold coin donation to cover utilities.
3rd Saturday of the month 1.30 – 4.30pm
Every Wednesday 12 noon – 4.30pm

Knitting Group. Bring your own knitting project or come and learn how to knit with our supplies and expertise. We bring a plate of lunch to share.
3rd Sunday of each month, 12noon – 2.30pm.

Playgroup. Sign up to Poppets Playgroup for a term of fun, community and learning. Each Poppets session provides a friendly and stimulating environment for children (0-4) to play, socialise and develop new skills while parents and carers enjoy the community of other local families. Contact Glenda for fees and more details.
Tuesdays 10 – 11.30am during school term

Playspace. Playspace provides a relaxed environment for parents and carers to enjoy indoor play experiences with their little ones (0-4) and enjoy the company of friends and other local families whatever the weather! Contact Glenda for fees and more details.
Mondays 9.30am – 12 noon during school term.

Community Development. We employ a Community Development Worker so that we can learn from the beautiful things happening in our community and join with local people to help Murrumbeena thrive. Contact Ann to see how you can get involved in in ‘working for the good of the city to which you have been sent’ (Jeremiah 29:7).

Kids Hope. We’re partnering with Oakleigh Primary School and Kids Hope to mentor school kids who need special care and support.

We are committed to inclusivity and child safety across all our services and ministries. You can read our Child Safety Commitment by clicking here.
