Deepening our relationship with God is one of our core values here at MBC. We beleive that we can grow in this way through action – like loving our neighbour and serving our local community – but also through reflection, prayer and conversation. This is what our gatherings are for.
When: Every Sunday
Time: 10.30am – 12pm
At MBC we believe that real transformation comes not from listening to a sermon or singing a song, but from sharing our everyday lives with each other and with God.
Our Sunday morning gatherings are about equipping and encouraging each other to continue our journeys of faith through everyday life. Together we create a space of reflection, prayer and communal worship, as well as discussing and sharing stories from our lives and from the bible.
Kids are an important part of our Sunday morning gathering. We also run various programs for toddlers, kids and teens during the second half of the morning. For more information, click here.
When: 1st Sunday of the Month
On the first Sunday of every month, we hold a potluck lunch after our morning gathering. Come and share in some hospitality, food and lovely company.
There are so many rich stories in our community that we can learn from, be challenged and encouraged by. Nightlife is an evening gathering hosted by our young adults where we enjoy some hospitality and delicious food, as well as sharing stories and running discussion on topics of life and faith.
When: last Sunday of the Month
Time: 6pm for dinner. 7pm for stories and discussion.
It is great to be connected with a smaller group of people with whom you can share your journey of faith and life. We’ve found that it’s through these more intimate relationships that we build with one another that real transformation happens. Our home gatherings are a chance to meet with a smaller group of people on a regular basis, encouraging and supporting one another through a mixture of action and reflection on matters of justice and mercy, global mission, family, and faith in everyday life.
We have a diverse mix of groups, including:
- Small groups with a focus on bible study, prayer and life.
- Young Adults bible study on Wednesday evenings
- Regular meals in people’s homes to share hospitality and build supportive relationships
- Groups which explore ways of serving our wider community
If you’d like to get connected and want to find out more about what group might best suit you, contact Russell, or come along to one of our other gatherings and ask us in person.
